Logistics guide

Complete shipment information makes quotations easier to compare and reduces follow-up questions. Prepare a short brief that describes the goods and the work you need the logistics provider to perform.

Prepare your quotation brief

  • Identify the collection and delivery locations, including postal codes and whether either site needs an appointment, loading assistance or special access.
  • List the commodity, packaging, number of pieces, dimensions, gross weight and whether packages can be stacked. Flag temperature control or other special handling needs.
  • State the cargo-ready date, preferred transport mode and requested service scope. Attach available packing details and ask the provider to identify assumptions, exclusions and quote validity.

Before you proceed

Compare quotations on the same scope. A lower headline price may cover fewer services or rely on different cargo assumptions.
