Air Freight Planning for Time-Sensitive Cargo

Logistics guide

When time matters, compare the complete air-freight journey rather than the flight alone. Collection, cargo acceptance, connections, destination handling and delivery all contribute to the schedule.

Identify the real delivery requirement

• Explain the business deadline and where the goods must be available. Separate a preferred arrival date from a firm receiving appointment.
• Provide packed dimensions, gross weight and commodity details early. Disclose batteries, liquids or other goods that may require an acceptance review.
• Ask the forwarder to describe routing assumptions and the steps before and after the flight. Confirm document readiness and collection arrangements before booking.

Before you proceed

Treat schedules as estimates until the relevant arrangements are confirmed. If a deadline is critical, discuss alternatives and an escalation contact in advance.
