A confirmed transport booking does not automatically mean a site is ready to load or receive cargo. Agree on access and handling arrangements before the vehicle is dispatched.

Logistics guide

A confirmed transport booking does not automatically mean a site is ready to load or receive cargo. Agree on access and handling arrangements before the vehicle is dispatched.

Confirm both ends of the movement

  • Share the full address, site contact, opening hours and appointment reference. Explain any gate procedures or restrictions on vehicle access.
  • Confirm who supplies loading equipment and labour. Describe dock availability and any need for a liftgate, ground-level handling or other assistance.
  • Tell the carrier how many packages will be ready and when. If the appointment changes, notify the transport coordinator and receiving site together.

Before you proceed

Keep a record of the agreed window and contact details. Prompt updates help the parties avoid dispatching against outdated instructions.
